On 25 October 2021, Kwadukuza SAPS successfully launched a community outreach programme during the month of October, to commemorate Mental Awareness Month in South Africa. The Kwadukuza SAPS launched a “Dealing with Depression” hand guide which contains important information for members of the community to understand the seriousness of depression and the types of assistance a person who is suffering from depression can get. The launch of the “Dealing with Depression” hand guide was to create awareness around the stigma of mental health, and to highlight the importance of getting help and seeing a psychologist to guide you through your depression and back into health.
